StoneManor open for residents Aug. 1

New apartment complex is a smartly designed, well constructed environment in Alexandria

Easy living. That was what the developers had in mind when they envisioned StoneManor, the newest apartment complex in the Alexandria area.

“We believe we have created the nicest market rate apartments available and with the best location in Alexandria,” said Randy Fischer, who developed StoneManor along with Matt Kuker and Stan Kirckof. The three men each has a different background, but each share a deep history in real estate and providing service to the public.

StoneManor will open its doors on Aug. 1, and there will be a grand opening celebration on Aug. 15. The new complex offers one, two and three-bedroom apartments available in nine different floor plans. And the rooms are spacious. One of the two-bedroom, two-bath apartments, for example, has a roomy 1,057 square feet.

“This project was designed and created to provide a better place for people to live that may not already exist for them in the marketplace,” said Fischer.

Each unit has a stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, dryer, center island, balcony or patio and even a pantry (something most apartments do not offer). Safety was also a high priority as each room is fire sprinkled. One bonus amenity is the views.  All the rooms have a great view, some with wetlands and wheat fields.

Fischer is proud of how StoneManor turned out and thinks the residents will be pleased at what they see when they tour the facility.

“This is a great place for seniors, or anyone who is looking for a nice quiet place to live where they just don’t want to mess with any maintenance anymore,” he said.

The apartments are priced to be affordable, with apartments starting at $750 a month. And that includes heat, maintenance of the grounds, and a bunch of amenities.

“We have a great group of amenities that people are looking for,” said Fischer. “They are truly maintenance-free elegant apartments.”

Some of those complex amenities include a large-capacity elevator, lots of green space, a large patio area with gas grills, a residents’ lounge, a work-out room, a community room, a guest room, walking trails, and tuck-under and detached garages.

Security of the facility was also a priority.

“There are surveillance cameras at all entry points for added security which are recorded to a DVR,” said Fischer. “Controlled access to the building is allowed by residents only.”

One thing that StoneManor is missing, is something most residents will appreciate… noise.

“The big thing for me is the location,” said Kirckof. “It is nice and quiet here.”

StoneManor is just a short walk to GrandArbor, a huge assisted living complex. And since StoneManor and GrandArbor are next door neighbors, residents will be able to enjoy some of the amenities of GrandArbor just by walking next door. Some of the public amenities of GrandArbor include a chapel, bistro, restaurant, general store and wellness center with a pool.

“If you are age 45 and over, you can get a key fob with a membership to Grand Arbor and you use the health center,” said Fischer. “So you could be a resident here and walk over to Grand Arbor and use their fitness center or pool from early in the morning to late at night.”

StoneManor is also located down the road from the soon-to-be-completed high school building, which will have state-of-the-art classrooms and top-end athletic facilities.

“It will be a regional hub for high school activities,” said Fischer.

Kirckof said having the school so close is a big plus for StoneManor because it provides a great option for entertainment, including athletic events, theater performances, music concerts and more.

The location appears to be hand-picked for a facility like StoneManor, and that is because it was. The developers purchased 100 acres of land years ago with the intent to develop it just like they wanted it. They have a master plan that will include more housing options in the area, including additional apartments, condos, townhomes and more. The entire area will be connected with walking trails and park-like grounds.

“We wanted a clean palette to build on,” said Fischer. “This is the perfect spot.”

StoneManor is built on approximately five acres of land that border a wetland and a 10-acre city park.

“That’s all good green space versus a lot of the asphalt and concrete that seem to penetrate our lives today,” said Fischer.

Those interested in learning more about StoneManor are encouraged to set up an appointment to tour the facility, or stop by for the grand opening celebration on Aug. 15.

“This would be a great time to come see this first-class building,” said Fischer.

StoneManor is located at 4541 Arbor Crossing SE. If you would like a tour of StoneManor or would like more information, contact Amy Efta at 320-424-3048 or email amy@dwjonesmanagement.com.
