Pet of the Week: Betty

This weeks featured pet is Betty an adult female German Shepherd dog available for adoption at the Humane Society of Otter Tail County in Fergus Falls, MN.

Betty2

Betty is a very large, calm and gentle, Regal, middle aged Shepherd. She was found as a stray in the Dalton area and never reclaimed. She is friendly with people, and appears to get along with most other dogs. She hasn’t shown a desire to play hard with them, but has been comfortable around most of them. She can be a bit dominant over other female dogs if they have a toy or something she wishes to take away (and she may try). She is extremely easy to walk on leash or to run alongside a bike. She seemed to get along with cats when tested in the cat room. She was a little scared of the aggressive cats. The shelter staff reported that Betty is easy to deal with, is quiet, and that she keeps her kennel very clean. Stray animals will be held for a minimum of seven days at this shelter before adoptions are to be completed. Interested parties are however encouraged to apply for any pet during this waiting period.
